Department Levels & Functioning

Lower Primary Department

One of the most important “events” of your child’s life is his or her first day of school. At BPS we take the responsibility of providing a safe and nurturing learning environment very seriously. Our teachers work together to create a welcoming environment that is developmentally appropriate, fosters independence, and encourages a passion for learning through authentic exploration and hands-on experiences. Early childhood students rapidly develop foundational capabilities on which subsequent development builds so in addition to their remarkable linguistic and cognitive gains, they will exhibit dramatic progress in their emotional, social, and moral capacities. All of these critical dimensions of early development are intertwined, and each requires focused attention by our staff.

As a parent at BPS you play a key role in your child’s educational development. You will have many opportunities to support, celebrate, and partner in the learning process. Just wait until you see your child up on the stage performing with their class or grade level to a musical performance, or listening to your child begin early stages of their literacy development in both Deen and Duniya. These are all events that will not only make you proud but continue to nurture those stages of early childhood development.

Our enrollment in the Lower Primary Department hovers between 100 and 200 students LKG- UKG.

 Primary Department

at Primary level we strive to ensure that each year at BPS is the best year in every child’s life. This hope, is what guides our practices and programs on a daily basis. As educators we find joy in our work each day. Joy is what sustains our passion as educators and ignites learning for children. We make decisions based on the understanding that we are not only guiding children towards learning but building experiences and creating memories that will serve to inform futures not yet imagined. At BPS our goal is for children to love school and for this love to translate into life-long learning.

The Primary Department includes grades one, two, three, four and five, and is designed to help students to be successful through this period of adjustment. Class sizes are small enough so that students are able to receive individualized attention from our brilliant teachers
